As autoras fazem considerações a respeito do Serviço de Neonatologia e dão enfoque especial ao Berçário, como um local físico integrante desse Serviço, destacando o papel de importância fundamental da enfermeira na equipe multidisciplinar. Dentre as várias funções da enfermeira neonatologista, as autoras descrevem, neste trabalho, as relacionadas com as atividades administrativas nos berçários de recém-nascidos.

Considerations are made about the neonatal service of the hospital with special attention to the newborn unit. The authors describe the role of the nurse as a most valuable element of the functional group and emphasize her administrative function in the newborn.

As autoras procuraram identificar os problemas de enfermagem que afetam prioritariamente os pacientes em diálise peritoneal. Objetivam também estabelecer bases para, num próximo trabalho, determinar tratamento apoiado em dados mais seguros. O estudo mostrou que em grande número dos pacientes entrevistados houve concordância entre os problemas sentidos e a expectativa de atendimento pela enfermagem.

Abstract in English:

The authors try to identify the main nursing problems affecting patients in peritoneal dialysis. They intend, also, to find some stand points in order to determine, in a next survey, a treatment based on more accurate data. This study show that for a large number of the patients, there is a mutual relation between the problems perceived and the expectancy of nursing intervention.

The authors describe types of drug addiction, behavior of the drug addict patient and the role of nursing personnel in dealing with them. They also mention some prophylactic measures in the fight off drug addiction.

A investigação foi efetuada em pacientes adultos, submetidos à cirurgia cardíaca e que permaneceram na Unidade de Terapia Intensiva (UTI), no mínimo, durante 24 horas e, no máximo, durante 72 horas. O objetivo do trabalho foi verificar os problemas mais freqüentemente sentidos pelos pacientes em UTI e suas expectativas quanto à assistência de enfermagem. Concluiu-se que, mesmo no caso de pacientes em estado crítico, os problemas sentidos e suas expectativas em relação à equipe de enfermagem recaem mais na área expressiva do que na instrumental.

Abstract in English:

A survey made with adult patients, submitted to cardiac surgery, who stayed in Intensive Care Unit (ICU) between 24 to 72 hours. The main point of the survey was to verify the most frequent problems felt by the patients in ICU and their expectations in relation to nursin care. It was found that, the majority of the problems felt and of the expectations related to nursing assistance belong in the basic area, more so than in the technical area.

As autoras descrevem problemas relativos a dor, equilíbrio circulatório, freqüência cardíaca, equilíbrio enzimático e eletrolítico, termo-regulação, sono, repouso, eliminação, terapêutica e nutrição em pacientes com infarto do miocardio. Em seguida indicam quais seriam as prescrições de enfermagem a serem adotadas, pelo pessoal de enfermagem, frente a tais problemas.

In this paper, the authors relate the main physiological problems identified by nurses in myocardial infarction patients. Following, they present which were the nursing prescriptions to be adopted by nursing personnel, facing such problems.

São apresentados relatos de experiências de alunos cursando Enfermagem Pediátrica, nas quais é dado apoio a crianças hospitalizadas que enfrentam situações desagradáveis e difíceis. Neste artigo — primeiro de uma série — são relatadas duas experiências em que as crianças são submetidas à passagem de sonda naso-gástrica.

In this article, the first of a series, there were related two experiences of nursing students in pediatrics, helping the hospitalized children to cope with difficult circunstances, as to say, the inserting of a naso-gastric tube.

The authors, who are undergraduate nursing students, describe one of their activities in their field experience in Nursing Administration. They give the description of a plan they made for early detection of schistosomosis in family members of patients with the disease; implementation of the plan; and orientation and treatment of the ones with positive laboratory results.
