Levantamento das opiniões de 59 estudantes de quatro escolas da Grande São Paulo, que cursaram o tronco profissional comum do Curso de Graduação em Enfermagem, para verificar os fatores que poderiam influenciar a não-escolha da Enfermagem Psiquiátrica como campo de atuação futura.

The author studies the effect of nutritional protein deprivation on experimental models of marasmatic-kwashiorkor and marasmus in rats. The parameters used were quantity of nitrogen in liver and pancreas, and liver lipides.

Foi estudada, em três centros obstétricos, a influência da planta física na atividade assistencial da enfermeira. Foram analisados o tempo utilizado e as atividades realizadas pela enfermeira nos diversos locais do centro obstétrico. Os resultados demonstraram que, quando a planta física do centro obstétrico não é devidamente planejada, a assistência de enfermagem prestada pela enfermeira à parturiente é prejudicada.

Abstract in English:

The blue-prints of three obstetrical centers were studied to determine their influence upon the activity of the nurse. For this purpose an analyses was made of the time spent and the activities performed by the nurse at the different departments of the obstetrical center. The findings revealed that, if an obstetrical center is not well planned, the nursing care of the woman in labor is impaired.

Ela se refere a conceitos básicos sobre saúde, saúde pública e enfermagem comunitária e será seguida de uma segunda parte, relativa ao preparo da enfermeira para a enfermagem comunitária que conterá sugestões para a inclusão de aspectos preventivos e comunitários no currículo de enfermagem.

This is the first part of an article on community nursing. It refers to the basic concepts of health, public health and community nursing. It will be followed by a second part, relative to preparation for community nursing, containing suggestions for the inclusion of the community and preventive aspects in the nursing curriculum.

As autoras comentam a importância da atuação da enfermeira na assistência ao recém-nascido de alto risco. Fazem considerações sofre a responsabilidade da enfermeira na atividade assistencial e educativa a mãe-feto-recém-nascido considerados de alto risco. Procuram destacar a responsabilidade da enfermeira em manter aberta as vias de comunicação entre ela e os pais do recém-nascido de alto risco, sempre ajudando-os a vencer a crise familiar que se insatalou.

The autohrs refer to the importance of the nurse's performance regarding the care of the high-risk newborn. Different aspects of assistance and education related to this problem are considered. They, also, emphasize the role of the nurse in keeping the parents informed about the conditions of their baby to help them to overcome the actual family crisis.
