Resumo: O texto refere-se ao pronunciamento efetuado na premiação Katherine Kendall, da Associação Internacional de Escolas de Serviço Social, durante a conferência mundial Serviço Social, Educação e Desenvolvimento Social (SWSD) 2018, em Dublin, Irlanda, em julho de 2018. Aborda a educação em Serviço Social na América Latina, trata as desigualdades, pobreza e lutas que desafiam o Serviço Social na região e apresenta a experiência brasileira.

Abstract: The text refers to the statement made at the Katherine Kendall award of the International Association of Social Work Schools, during the Social Work Education and Social Development Conference, (SWSD) 2018 in Dublin, Ireland, in July 2018. It addresses to Education in Social Work in Latin America, coping with inequality, poverty and struggles that challenges Social Work in the region besides presenting the Brazilian experience.

Resumo: O objetivo deste estudo foi discutir o método materialista histórico dialético, apontando elementos essenciais presentes no percurso metodológico. O método em Marx é um movimento dialético que parte da sua concepção ontológica da realidade social, em que o ser social produz suas próprias condições objetivas e subjetivas de existência e, por isso, teoria, método e concreto social constituem uma unidade metodológica.

Abstract: The objective of this study was to discuss the dialectical historical materialist method, pointing out essential elements present in the methodological course. The method in Marx is a dialectical movement that starts from its ontological conception of social reality, in which the social being produces its own objective and subjective conditions of existence and, therefore, theory, method and social concrete constitute a methodological unit.

Resumo: Este artigo é fruto de inquietações sobre o uso dos conceitos de tempo, história e memória na produção teórica do Serviço Social como categorias que desvendam a realidade e a profissão. Para tanto, parte das análises do historiador François Hartog sobre como a história é construída e pensada no Ocidente, no século XXI, e elege o pensamento de Walter Benjamin como referencial teórico para abordar história e memória articuladas aos princípios ético-políticos e teórico-metodológicos da profissão.

Abstract: This article is the result of concerns about the use of the concepts of time, history and memory in the theoretical production of Social Service as categories that reveal reality and the profession. For that, part of the analysis of the historian François Hartog on how history is constructed and thought in the West, in the XXI century, and elects the thought of Walter Benjamin as a theoretical reference to address history and memory articulated to ethico-political and theoretical-methodological principles of the profession.

Resumo: O presente artigo resgata a contribuição de Paulo Freire na história do Serviço Social brasileiro e destaca a educação popular como instrumento importante no trabalho e formação profissional do assistente social. Além disso, apresenta um levantamento das produções teóricas brasileiras que articulam as temáticas educação popular e Serviço Social no recorte temporal de 1980-2010, assinalando a área mais produtiva; perfil dos autores; ano, tipo, região, temática e abordagem das produções.

Abstract: This article recounts the contribution of Paulo Freire in the history of Brazilian Social Service and highlights popular education as an important tool in the work and professional training of the social worker. In addition, it presents a survey of the Brazilian theoretical productions that articulate the themes of popular education and social service in the temporal cut of 1980-2010, highlighting the most productive area; profile of authors; year, type, region, thematic and approach to productions.

Resumo: O texto recupera as linhas básicas do pensamento de Malcom Payne e Vicente Faleiros sobre os fundamentos do Serviço Social. Nesse caminho, enfatiza as diferenças entre as tradições que representam, aborda a forma como trabalham o universo teórico da profissão, as forças responsáveis por sua origem e desenvolvimento, bem como concebem o objeto e o concurso da atuação dos assistentes sociais.

Abstract: The paper recovers the basic lines of thought of Malcom Payne and Vicente Faleiros on the foundations of Social Work. In this way, it emphasizes the differences between the traditions they represent, it also addresses how the theoretical universe of the profession works, the forces responsible for its origin and development, as well as conceiving of the object and the contest of the action two social workers.

Resumo: O presente artigo tem como objetivo principal demonstrar como o Estado moderno, através do sistema econômico capitalista e da globalização neoliberal, tem efetivado o processo de expropriação de forma deliberada, provocando miséria social e fomentando a violência e a criminalidade em larga escala. O texto também mostra que o Estado moderno utiliza-se das ciências jurídicas para coibir e ignorar as situações sociais de trabalhadores sem emprego.

Abstract: The main objective of this article is to demonstrate how the modern state, through the economic system, capitalist and neoliberal globalization, effectively or deliberately expropriation, provoking social misery and fomenting violence and crime on a large scale. The text also shows that the modern state uses legal sciences to curb and ignore the social situations of workers without jobs.

Resumo: A violência contra as mulheres é fenômeno recorrente no contexto brasileiro e pode perpassar qualquer tipo de conjugalidade. Nesse sentido, este artigo aborda o tema da violência nas conjugalidades lésbicas e apresenta uma análise dos relatos de assistentes sociais que atendem mulheres em situação de violência na cidade de ­Niterói (RJ), a fim de verificar como a violência conjugal lésbica tem aparecido em seus cotidianos profissionais.

Abstract: Violence against women is a recurring phenomenon in the Brazilian context and can permeate any type of conjugality. In this sense, this article approaches the theme of violence in lesbian conjugalities, and presents an analysis of the reports of social workers attending women in a situation of violence in the city of Niterói, RJ, in order to verify of these professionals, how lesbian conjugal violence appears in their work actions.

Resumo: Na busca pelo reconhecimento legal de sua identidade de gênero, as pessoas transexuais e travestis recorrem ao Judiciário e para isso podem passar por perícias sociais. A atuação nessas demandas na perspectiva social traz a discussão para o campo cultural. O presente artigo dialoga com a atuação profissional nos processos de retificação/alteração de nome e sexo jurídico das pessoas trans. Para a construção do laudo, valemo-nos de diversos aspectos, dentre eles a sociabilidade.

Abstract: In search of legal recognition of gender identify, transgender and travestite appel to the Judiciary and fpr that they can pass though social skills. Acting on these demands from a social perspective brings the discussion to the cultural fiel. This article engage with the juridical social workers in the process of rectification/change of name and legal sex of transgender people. To build the report we use several aspects, being, sociability.

Resumo: Este texto objetiva elucidar desafios que, na visão dos dirigentes da Abepss, CFESS/Cress e Andes, incidem sobre a formação profissional e o trabalho docente do assistente social, contribuindo para fundamentar as ações de resistência do coletivo nessas organizações. Assim, discorreremos sobre os pressupostos da resistência no Serviço Social e desafios para a formação e o trabalho docente; as dificuldades para a resistência e a relevância da construção da agenda de lutas.

Abstract: This text has the objective of clear the challenges that, in the vision of the directors of Abepps, CFESS/Cress and Andes, focus over the professional formation and the Social Worker’s teaching work, contributing to base the actions of resistance of the collective in these organizations. In these way, we are going to discuss about assumptions of resistance in the Social Work and challenges for the formation and the teaching work; the difficulties for the resistance; and the relevance of the construction of the fights agenda.
