Open-access Marilda Iamamoto: Some of her contributions to the critical perspective on contemporary social work

This article seeks to explore the contributions of Marilda Iamamoto to the critical approach in social work. It is based on a critical hermeneutic perspective, focusing on the analysis of the book El Servicio Social en la contemporaneidad [Social Work in Contemporaneity], alongside two other books in Spanish: Servicio Social y la división del trabajo [Social Work and the Division of Labor] and Trabajo Social en tiempo de capital fetiche [Social Work in Times of Fetish Capital]. In the face of the contradictions generated by the capitalist mode of production, the challenge is both ethical and political.
