Open-access AUDITORY TRAINING: CASE STUDY

Purpose:  was verify the improvement of the hearing skills by the auditory training (AT) in acoustic booth.

Methods:  the auditory training was applied in a 9 year old male child, with speaking and language difficulties and auditory processing disabilities diagnostic. The auditory training lasted 10 sections of 50 minutes each and a last section in which we re-evaluated the SSW test.

Results:  after auditory training we could verify that there was an improvement of the hearing skills and there was a variation of a severe degree in the SSW test for the normal degree.

Conclusion:  the auditory training had a positive influence in the hearing process of the child who presented language difficulties.
