Open-access Between the composition and the task: a case study on the inclusion of Physical Education in a mental health service

This is a case study on the process of integration of Physical Education workers in the context of a multi-professional mental health team. The categories "doer" and "composer" were used to analyze the positions that a Physical Education worker occupies in this service. The empiricism was produced from eight semi-structured interviews with different professionals in a Psychosocial Care Center. Analysis indicated that the position of Physical Education on the team depends on the trajectory of each professional and the way the Physical Education worker establishes himself/herself. We conclude that the work ruled by composition favors care practices that enhance the anti-asylum intervention and the life "outside" the services.
