Perception of professional competencies of Physical Education teacher training students

This study investigated the professional competencies perceived by PIBID scholarship holders in Physical Education during Covid-19. Eight scholarship holders from the Physical Education Teaching Degree course participated in the research. Data collection and analysis followed the guidelines of the Qualitative Research Technique ETCI, with analysis supported by the NVivo software. When starting the PIBID activities, the students did not see themselves as having much knowledge for working in school Physical Education, even though they perceived teaching skills. At the end, they perceived themselves as having acquired new knowledge, in addition to expanding their planning skills. The experience gained influenced the perception of professional competencies, as the scholarship holders felt more competent after the experiences lived in the Program, even though they were carried out online.
