With this study, we aimed to analyze the educational and economic profiles of high-performance diving athletes of a national reference training club. This is a descriptive, exploratory, and transversal study, with data collected through a structured questionnaire. The inferential data analysis was conducted using descriptive and comparative trend measure tests. The results converge on the strong presence of the State as a financier of sports careers and the prioritization of sports mainly at the end of high school. However, dedication to studies, supported by a family background of high levels of schooling, facilitates the reconciliation of the demands of sports and school.
