Open-access Remember to elaborate: reflections on the critical literacy of digital media

New forms of forgetfulness are produced in society whose access to social networks enables instant reminder of everything and everyone. This type of phenomenon occurs in so far as online information accessed are not related to each other, producing thereby a type of fragmentation thought that ignores the historical links which interlock them. Based mainly on the writings of Adorno, Türcke, Kellner and Share, the authors of this article have as main objective to investigate how the revitalization concepts such as cultural industry and semiformation it is essential to be possible the development of assumptions of the critical literacy of the digital media. It follows that, in digital times, in which reigns the semiformation guided by the dispersed concentration, it becomes absolutely necessary to recall the historical links of the information so that it can foster the development of critical thinking.
