Open-access Quality of life and social policies reforms: Brazil in the latin-american setting

Abstract

Given the bad record of Brazilian social policies in a Latin-american comparative perspective (even if compared with a case of social programs reform under a non-democratic regime, like the Chilean one) the author studies the specifity of the Brazilian case. The background of the analysis is given by the problems of the reform of the State and of the country's modernization
