The multiple faces of Clarice: A study on the place of the migrant in Clarice Lispector’s Literature

Taking into account the fragility of the character Macabéa, this article seeks to understand how to build a healthy, authentic and strengthened Self in such an impoverished environment that constantly rejects her. In addition, the writer’s own story will be addressed to consider the place of the migrant within the destination country, and how her writing, speech, characters and novels allow her to find more than a refuge, but an identity of her own based on otherness, on the Other of herself. Echoing resoundingly in multiple identifications – and being welcomed and legitimized in another culture, assimilated as her own. The methodological question that arises is to organize and review the literature in an interdisciplinary way (through the snowballing technique), using contemporary authors from both social communication and cultural psychoanalysis
