Resumo em Inglês: Abstract This article explores the relationship between Spinoza's thought and Freud's psychoanalysis, examining how there is a certain, albeit implicit, presence of Spinoza in Freudian writings. Firstly, it proposes to reconstruct the meaning of the “Spinozan atmosphere” from which Freud affirmed to have nourished himself, and through figures close to him, such as Zweig, Rolland, Tausk, and Salomé. Subsequently, the presence of Spinoza is detected in Freud's writings through palimpsests, which allow for a speculative approximation of notions such as oceanic feeling, the Spinozan theory of individuation and Freudian group psychology, as well as the theory of imagination and the theory of narcissism, moreover, with a specific focus on the notion of overdetermination. The main objective of this work is to pave the way for future dialogues and further research concerning Spinoza's presence in psychoanalysis, whose impacts, among others, also touch upon problems of political philosophy. |

Resumo em Inglês: Abstract A work difficult to classify, Émilie du Châtelet's Physical Institutions presents a thematic sequence that sparks the curiosity of its readers. Thus, before addressing questions concerning matter, the movement of bodies, and the force of gravity, the text lingers on discussions about the principles of our knowledge, the existence of God, as well as ontological notions such as essence, attributes, and modes. The attention the author pays to a kind of divine voluntarism may be particularly surprising, serving as a motive for the author to examine, in depth, the relationship between God and the possibility of things. In the following text, we will seek to present some elements that help to show how these discussions should be understood as fulfilling a role in guiding the way in which the investigation of nature (especially with regard to the knowledge of matter) should be carried out. To this end, we will examine some of the main theses of the Institutions present in its first three chapters. |

Resumo em Inglês: Abstract The present paper examines Hölderlin’s engagement with Kant’s theory of knowledge. It argues that Hölderlin posits the necessity of a direct human access to what he calls “Being”, situated at the very ground of experience. On the basis of a careful analysis of Hölderlin’s texts and of the principal interpretative literature, the study addresses the spherical character that Hölderlin attributes to experience, as well as the thesis according to which only an access to the Being that grounds experience can prevent the judicative division-or the split between subject and object-from issuing in dispersion. Insofar as experience possesses a spherical structure, Hölderlin is thereby able to approximate Kant’s conception of the totality of human experience. Nevertheless, the theory of a direct access to Being must confront the objection, raised from a philosophical-critical perspective, that it affirms a form of knowledge which appears to exceed the limits of human cognition and the conditions of its possibility. |
