Open-access THE DILEMMAS OF CORPORATE CULTURE IN A PRIVATE SCHOOL IN THE SOUTHERN REGION

Organizational culture reflects the shared values, beliefs, and practices within an organization and serves as an interesting reference to highlight tensions within school organizations. This research suggests that corporate culture in private primary schools, driven by increasing competitiveness, challenges traditional values centered on civic education and student welfare, influencing the school community. Through a unique case study, the aim was to identify mechanisms of balance/tension between the two cultural references: corporate and educational; and how this process influences school management. The study utilized interviews with 10 members of the organization to understand their perspectives on private school management.
