Open-access The Computer on Chemistry Education: Impressions versus Reality. In Focus Public Schools of the Baixada Fluminense.

Abstract

The use of Technologies of Information and Communication (TIC) in education has called attention. This use allows different interpretations on the use of computers in the teaching and learning process. Thus, this article reports a reflection on socio-historical and cultural basis, about the potentialities and limitations of the use of computers for Chemistry Education in State High Schools in Baixada Fluminense, a region in the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Some general considerations, for the first experiments using this conclude our presentation of research results.
