Resumo Este artigo analisa a evolução e as tensões do conceito de crítica na obra de Friedrich Nietzsche, conforme discutido por Marc de Launay, partindo da tensão entre o instinto criador e a racionalidade socrática. A análise aborda a transição para a “filosofia histórica”, destacando a probidade (Redlichkeit) como ferramenta metacrítica e o dilema final entre a desconstrução crítica e a aceitação do Amor Fati.

Abstract This article analyzes the evolution and tensions of the concept of critique in the work of Friedrich Nietzsche, as discussed by Marc de Launay, starting from the tension between the creative instinct and Socratic rationality. The analysis addresses the transition to “historical philosophy,” highlighting probity (Redlichkeit) as a metacritical tool and the final dilemma between critical deconstruction and the acceptance of Amor Fati.

Resumo Este artigo almeja elucidar a genealogia nietzschiana do sentimento de separação que a modernidade desenvolve em relação à natureza. Para tanto, demonstraremos que, para Nietzsche, a cultura europeia forjou a crença de que seu espírito lhe permitia distinguir-se das demais existências por meio de impulsos instintivos que passavam despercebidos. Contudo, essa interpretação, que valorizava a cultura europeia através da desvalorização da natureza, acabou por se voltar contra a referida cultura e explica, em parte, a fase niilista. Por fim, mostraremos que provar diferentemente a natureza, e consequentemente a humanidade, é uma das tarefas que Nietzsche atribui à sua filosofia, e um caminho que ele propõe para escapar do niilismo.

Abstract The aim of this article is to highlight Nietzsche's genealogy of modernity's sense of separation from nature. In doing so, we will show that, for Nietzsche, European culture forged the belief that its spirit allowed it to distinguish itself from the rest of existence for instinctual motivations that went unnoticed. But this interpretation, which valued culture by devaluing nature, ultimately backfired, and partly explains the nihilistic phase. Finally, we will show that experiencing nature, and therefore human beings, differently is one of the tasks that Nietzsche assigns to his philosophy, and a path he proposes to escape nihilism.

Resumo A complexidade das relações de Nietzsche com a Universidade tem sido subestimada até o presente momento. Como crítico da modernidade, Nietzsche aborda frontalmente a questão do funcionamento das instituições universitárias do século XIX, notadamente no que diz respeito às suas finalidades e objetivos. Nietzsche se inscreve em uma longa tradição de sátira relativa aos estabelecimentos de ensino, cuja figura de proa é o Fausto I de Goethe. Nietzsche dá continuidade a essa crítica e a levou ao seu grau mais alto, ao mesmo tempo que delineia pistas para uma outra relação com o saber, novas formas de educação, e esboça os contornos de uma Universidade inédita.

Abstract The complexity of Nietzsche's relationship with the University has been underestimated until now. As a critic of modernity, Nietzsche addresses directly the question of how 19th-century academic institutions functioned, particularly regarding their aims and objectives. Nietzsche was part of a long tradition of satire concerning educational institutions, a leading figure of which was Goethe's Faust I. Nietzsche continued this criticism and took it to its ultimate conclusion, while also suggesting paths towards a different relationship with knowledge and new forms of education, and sketching out the contours of a new kind of university. Resumo “Precisamos quebrar o aguilhão da ilusão imemorial!”, escreve Nietzsche no outono de 1880. A despeito dos inegáveis progressos da modernidade em relação ao obscurantismo do passado, a persistência de diversas ilusões e o aparecimento de novas explicam, com essa injunção, que muito desta tarefa ainda está por se fazer. A modernidade é algo mais do que o produto de ilusões milenares? Ela mesma não é a ilusão suprema quando se mantém na era do desencantamento e se crê, sem razão, desiludida? É no cerne das ilusões da modernidade e da modernidade como ilusão que Nietzsche pretende realizar sua crítica, para melhor desenvolver o seu próprio projeto filosófico de desilusão.

Abstract ‘We must break the sting of immemorial illusion’, wrote Nietzsche in the autumn of 1880. Despite the undeniable progress made by modernity compared to the obscurantism of the past, the persistence of various illusions and the appearance of new ones explain, with this injunction, that the task remains largely unfinished. Is modernity anything other than the product of millennial illusions? Is it not itself the ultimate illusion, when it holds itself up as the age of disenchantment and wrongly believes itself to be disillusioned? Nietzsche intends to criticise the illusions of modernity and modernity as illusion, the better to develop his own philosophical enterprise of disillusionment.

Resumo Este texto busca compreender as influências que o jovem Nietzsche recebeu para suas concepções sobre o Estado. Embora pareça que sua principal influência tenha sido Thomas Hobbes, especialmente pela utilização do conceito de guerra de todos contra todos para descrever a ausência do Estado, nossa hipótese interpretativa dá maior ênfase a Tucídides, que influenciou ambos os pensadores. O presente artigo está dividido em duas partes: na primeira, analisamos as semelhanças entre Nietzsche e Hobbes; na segunda, exploramos a influência de Tucídides, discutindo um fragmento póstumo em que Nietzsche comenta um episódio paradigmático da História da Guerra do Peloponeso.

This text seeks to understand the influences that young Nietzsche received for his conceptions of the State. Although it may appear that his primary influence was Thomas Hobbes, especially due to the use of the concept of the war of all against all to describe the absence of the State, our interpretative hypothesis places greater emphasis on Thucydides, who influenced both thinkers. This article is divided into two parts: in the first, we analyze the similarities between Nietzsche and Hobbes; in the second, we explore the influence of Thucydides, discussing a posthumous fragment in which Nietzsche comments on a paradigmatic episode from the History of the Peloponnesian War.

Resumo A fim de dar continuidade aos estudos que abordam o parentesco entre Friedrich Nietzsche e Oswald de Andrade, proponho um percurso de leitura através do qual se ouçam ressonâncias entre a afirmação trágica e a afirmação antropofágica, a ponto de o devorar e o devir serem percebidos em um movimento conjunto, historicamente vislumbrado a partir da moderna constatação da morte de Deus.

Abstract In the interest of giving continuity to the studies that underline the link between Friedrich Nietzsche and Oswald de Andrade, the following essay proposes a reading path through which it indicates resonances between the tragic affirmation and the anthropophagic affirmation, to the point of suggesting that devouring and becoming constitute a joint movement, historically glimpsed from the modern realization of the death of God.
