Dossiê Nietzsche e os valores The values of the transvaluation of values Marton, Scarlett Abstract in Portuguese: Resumo Três são os objetivos deste artigo. Abstract in English: Abstract This article has three objectives. After examining the notion of value in the context of Nietzschean thought, it aims to investigate, first, what the values that must be transvalued consist of, and then what the values that have been transvalued consist of. Finally, it hopes to address the question of values, or rather, the value of the project of transvaluing all values. |

Abstract in English: Abstract The paper aims to make convincing the conjecture - and also to highlight its importance - that it is the value the philosopher attributes to the virtue of courage, or to virtue understood as courage, that ultimately functions as the supreme value or super-value in Nietzsche's thought. To support this, the theme of the "hero of knowledge" is explored, and the whole issue of courage as virtue is connected to the will to power and the thought of eternal recurrence. |

Abstract in English: Abstract This article continues a line of inquiry begun in 2017, exploring the multiple analogies between Nietzsche's views on values and the philosophical tradition of projectivism. It begins with an overview of the key features of projectivism (§1), followed by a textual analysis of selected Nietzschean passages that lend themselves to a projectivist interpretation (§2). The article then engages with several prominent criticisms of this reading (§§3-4). While acknowledging that these critiques are not without merit, the article argues that a projectivist interpretation of Nietzsche remains both philosophically defensible and well-supported by textual evidence. |

Dossiê Nietzsche e os valores What is a “world of evaluations”? Abstract in English: Abstract The several passages in which Nietzsche refers to our evaluations as being “projected” and “imposed” upon nature seem to suggest that the “world of evaluations” in which human life unfolds is merely subjective, and that nature, devoid of these values, is instead reality itself. This article aims to show that Nietzsche's thought rejects this kind of modern subjectivism. The way he conceives of a “world of evaluations” aligns with neither “realism” nor “anti-realism,” for, according to Nietzsche, it is life itself - not a subject - that projects our values. |

Dossiê Nietzsche e os valores Transvaluation or revaluation? Nietzsche and the value of justice in Franz Kafka's work García, Carmen Gómez Abstract in Portuguese: Resumo Em sua literatura, Kafka apresenta uma justiça imobilizada em torno do silêncio e do direito incompreensível, justiça que, como lei suprapessoal, ataca o indivíduo, o julga e, em última instância, o executa. Abstract in English: Abstract Kafka's literary work portrays a conception of justice immobilized by silence or governed by an incomprehensible legal system - a justice that, as a suprapersonal law, turns against the individual, judges them, and ultimately executes them. If the human relationship with the law and with authority is entirely failed, how then can the value of justice be approached? The following pages will focus particularly on In the Penal Colony, which might be interpreted as a literary formulation of Nietzsche's “transvaluation of values”, especially considering that Kafka had carefully read On the Genealogy of Morality. |

Varia Nietzsche, the teachings, the doubts Sommer, Andreas Urs Abstract in Portuguese: Resumo Ninguém duvida tanto de seu próprio pensamento quanto Friedrich Nietzsche. No one doubts his own thought as much as Friedrich Nietzsche. Constantly and with great gesture, he questions what he has thought and said, calling it into question, and even tries to retract his own speech in the very act of speaking. Distrust in everything and everyone, also against himself, is considered by the great thinker of experimental skepticism as the only form of knowledge, because only skepticism frees “from the tyranny of ‘eternal’ concepts”. Consequently, he does not demand a skepticism that refrains from all judgment, but a skepticism willing to judge, a “skepticism of bold masculinity” and as the “only form of philosophy”. |

My hypothesis, based on the terms of KSA 11, 608, is that Nietzsche subverts conventional historiography by treating the source as nourishment to be digested through a process of “selection,” “incorporation,” and “rejection.” In the case of Teichmüller, this process takes on an even more curious form insofar as, critically, the digestion of the source aims to de-characterize - or rather, to recharacterize it in the manner of a type, a caricature, an offense (Schimpfwort). |
