RESUMO

A Síndrome de Ehlers-Danlos compreende um conjunto de alterações do tecido conectivo, de caráter hereditário, cuja alteração básica parece envolver as fibras do colágeno. São descritas alterações sistêmicas e oculares. Os autores relatam um caso de Síndrome de Ehlers-Danlos que apresentava hiperelasticidade da pele das pálpebras, miopia, estafiloma, microcórnea e glaucoma. A paciente foi submetida à cirurgia de trabeculectomia com sucesso.

SUMMARY

The Ehlers-Danlos syndrome comprises a group of alterations of the connective tissue with hereditary character, whose basic alteratians seem to involve the colagenous fibers. Ocular and systemic alterations are described. The authors relate a case of the Ehlers-Danlos syndrome that presented hyperelasticity of the eyelid, myopia, staphyloma, microcornea and glaucoma. The patient was submitted to a trabeculectomy with success.
