Cálculo do poder da lente intra-ocular em implantes secundários amarrados

RESUMO

Estudamos 45 pacientes submetidos à cirurgia de implante de lente intraocular (LIO) amarrada entre julho de 1987 e junho de 1991. Verificamos a eficácia da fórmula SRK-II para o cálculo do poder da LIO em implantes amarrados, e realizamos uma regressão linear através do método dos mínimos quadrados, visando determinar uma nova fórmula (RAISA) capaz de ser utilizada no cálculo do poder da LIO neste procedimento cirúrgico.

A diferença das estimativas obtidas por SRK-II e RAISA foi pequena em olhos com DAP entre 22 e < 24.5, sugerindo que a SRK-II pode, a princípio, ser utilizada para o cálculo do poder da LIO em implantes secundários amarrados posicionados a 2.5 mm do limbo.

SUMMARY

We studied 45 patients who were submitted to scleral fixed IOL implantation from July 1987 to June 1991. We checked the efficiency of the SRK-II formula for IOL power calculation in scleral fixed implants, and performed a linear regression estimation, using the least square method, to determine a new formula (RAISA) suitable to the IOL estimation in that kind of procedure.

The difference between the obtained estimatives using SRK-II and RAISA was small, for eyes with axial length between 22 and. < 24.5, suggesting that the SRK-II can be used, in principle, for the calculation of the IOL power in scleral fixed implants, positioned at 2.5 mm from the limbus.
