Open-access Interdisciplinary work: possible appproaches in the view of nurses in an emergency unit

Abstract

This objective of this qualitative study was to understanding the view of nurses regarding interdisciplinary work in the context of emergency care in a public hospital. The data was collected by means of interview. The analysis pointed out the gathering of the concept related to the concrete possibilities in carrying out the work in teams, permeated by the ideas of individual roles, objectives of the action and of the potential of exchange, partnership and respect in relationships among the workers. Theoretical and practical boundaries are pointed out, as well as perspectives which have not yet been affected in the day to day, and they are meaningful considering the current challenges in the field of health.
