Mercantilization of higher education in Brazil and the repercussions on Social Work

The article reflects on the commercialization of higher education in Brazil, through the expansion of distance learning and semi-presential education in private institutions, and seeks to understand the repercussions on the income of social workers. The study showed that the majority of social workers trained in precarious forms of education are black and brown women, and that they are paid less than other professionals.
