How do we research? Reflections on techniques and experiences in health research from critical methodologies with a feminist approach

This article is a reflection on the role of research from feminist approaches using critical methodologies in the field of health in Latin America. Based on a narrative review in the most important databases (Scopus, WoS, LILACS, Latindex, Scielo and Pubmed) and in university repositories of the region, the most used techniques and strategies were identified and characterized, as well as the topics addressed. The results show a low presence of this type of approaches and techniques in research in the field of health, which opens reflections about the purposes for which this type of research is done, its circuits of knowledge dissemination, the conditions and possibilities of scientific production with a feminist approach, as well as the power relations in academic spaces, among other possible issues.
