Mice vaccinated with one, two or three doses of a live avirulent vaccine of T. cruzi present better degree of resistance and slighter tissular inflamatory reaction, after challenge, than mice "vaccinated'' with only one, two or three doses of killed phenolated vaccine of the same strain. The combination of live and killed vaccines gives no better results than those obtained with the vaccines only.
