Open-access Some notes about the history of the Mother Church of Santo Antônio, in the district of Glaura, in Ouro Preto

The Mother Church of Santo Antônio, in the district of Glaura, in Ouro Preto, was rebuilt around 1750, to replace the old chapel built in the 1720s, which was in ruins. The history of this temple includes important information, helping to understand details about the production process of the 18th-century art and architecture in Minas Gerais. This article aims to relate information about the history of the church, obtained from the review of documentation because it is a subject that has not been thoroughly investigated.
