Changes in space and time/social change under the impact of modernization

Abstract

The aim of this article is to discuss the relations between space, time and gender in the context of fishing communities of Northeastern Brazil. Centered on the point of view of women, it calls attention to the negative changes that took place in the female universe as a result of modernization.
