Abstract in Portuguese:

Ao interagir com paciente a enfermeira tem que ter sempre em mente que está se relacionando com um ser humano. Neste relacionamento pessoa a pessoa há aspectos básicos indispensáveis ao conhecimento da enfermeira para tornar terapêutico aquele processo. Entre estes aspectos temos aceitação, empatia e envolvimento emocional. Estes foram abordados quanto a revisão bibliográfica, conceituação teórica e importância para o relacionamento enfermeira-paciente. São descritas situações que evidenciam a ocorrência dos aspectos citados e os benefícios que estes trouxeram para a interação enfermeira-paciente.

Abstract in English:

In dealing with the patient, the nurse has always to have in mind that she is dealing with a human being. There are basic aspects in this personal relationship needed to the knowledge of the nurse to make this process therapeutic. Among these aspects we have acceptance, empaty and emotional involvement. These aspects we studied following bibliographical review, theorical conception and importance to the nurse-patient relationship. Situations that show accourance of those given aspects and the benefits brought to nurse-patient relationship are described.

A absorção de drogas pode, às vezes, ser consideravelmente alterada conforme as condições em que são ingeridas, ou seja, em jejum ou junto com alimentos ou fluidos. Além disso, alguns componentes alimentares não devem ser ingeridos com certas drogas por apresentarem efeitos adversos. O presente trabalho aborda essas interações e incompatibilidades existentes entre as drogas e os alimentos.

Abstract in English:

The use of drugs with foods or fluids can alter their absorption level. Moreover, some constituents of certain foods cannot be ingested with some drugs because they cause adverse effects. This paper presents these interactions and incompatibilities between drugs and food.

O presente artigo aborda assistência de enfermagem ao paciente cirúrgico, na prevenção e terapêutica de complicações pulmonares. As autoras discorrem sobre os fatores predisponentes das complicações pulmonares (idade avançada, desequilíbrios nutricional e de hidratação, exacerbação de doenças pulmonares obstrutivas crônicas) assim como sobre os fatores agravantes das mesmas (anestesia, imobilização no leito, distensão abdominal e dor). Apresentam os objetivos da assistência de enfermagem, a conduta preventiva no pré e pós-operatórios, a identificação precoce dos sinais clínico de insuficiência respiratória e o tratamento.

Abstract in English:

The authors describe the predisposing factors of post-operative pulmonary complications (old age, malbalanced hydratation and nutrition, exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases) as well as the aggravating factors (anesthesia, immobilization in bed, abdominal distention, pain). They present the objectives of nursing intervention, pre and post operative measures to prevent pulmonary complications, early identification of clinical signs of respiratory failure, and treatment.
