Sumak Kawsay, Yasuní and Indigenous Peoples in Voluntary Isolation: An Alternative to capitalist development?

Capitalism requires inequity, violence, extractivism, destruction, and death. It is urgent to look for alternatives. One alternative to capitalism is sumak kawsay, which is a system of life based on indigenous peolples experiences and knowledge, and emancipatory knowledge of the West. In Yasuní, as a case study, we can observe the contradictions of the capitalist system and the potentialities of sumak kawsay experienced by people live in isolation.
