Open-access Effect of water deficit on the transpiration and stomatal resistance of mango tree

Abstract

Flowering induction of mango growth at the Northeast Brazil has not given satisfactory results mainly due to inadequate irrigation management. Transpiration and stomatal resistance of mango trees can reflect the water status of the plant. Monitoring the transpiration and stomatal resistance of mango trees during water deficit and irrigation period suggests that the flower induction by water deficit is not efficient due to incorrect irrigation management.
