Scalar gravitation: inconsistency of planetary orbits

Abstract

This work studies the planetary motion in relativistic gravitation described by a scalar field. In particular, based on the resolution of an exercise of Ref. [¹], it shows that the precession motion of the perihelion is inconsistent with the result predicted by general relativity and the observed experimental data.
