A quantitative analysis of the magnetic field inside a conducting medium

Abstract

In this paper, we present details regarding the construction of an laboratory experiment designed to make a quantitative analysis of the magnetic induction produced within a cylinder of conducting material. A simple AC magnetometer suitable for the measurements is also presented. A numerical analysis of the data shows a remarkable approximation with the theoretical predictions of the Maxwell equations applied to the classical electrodynamics.
