Professional practices: ]images in a gym and fitness center in the city of Rio de Janeiro

Abstract

This study aims helping the physical education courses making the physical education major, closer to the work practice at the gyms. Beyond the analyses of the speech, we take into consideration the way the professional introduce him/herself and his/ her experience to people, the means to deal with the impression toward him/herself and the activities which might or might not be accomplished. We come to a conclusion that those professionals of gymnastic practices have been through tense times and impasse, what implies the need to reformulate undergraduate physical education courses oriented to education of teachers
