Continuing Education of Physical Education teachers in the State Education Network of Espírito Santo: a characterization

This article describes the current teacher education policy of the State Department of Education of Espírito Santo. It analyzes training events promoted by the State Department of Education (SEDU) between 2013 and 2023. Besides that, it observes the progress of qualification in the distance learning format, in addition to the privatization of the continuing education program in the Physical Education field. It concludes that the state government has not complied with the legislation with regard to the access to continuing education programs in the teacher’s area of expertise.
