Portuguese/German Contrastive Linguistics Studies Mapping: Bibliographic Data in Brazil

This work aims to relate the development, methodology and results from a Projeto de Iniciação Científica that proposes the construction of a database of the Portuguese/German contrastive linguistics bibliography. As a research of documental-bibliographical nature, the data was collected out of Brazilian databases of publications in Portuguese, whose references were compiled with the help of the Zotero software. The searches were carried out between August and December 2019 and used the keywords “German Language; Portuguese Language; German; Portuguese; Linguistics; Contrastive Linguistics”, as well as the major areas of Linguistics (Morphology; Phonetics; Phonology; Semantics; Pragmatics and Syntax). 48 references were identified, published between 1972 and 2019, and were classified between White and Gray Literature. The data indicate a prevalence of articles published in the journal Pandaemonium Germanicum, published by the University of São Paulo (USP), especially in the 1990s, and a large number of investigations in the area of semantics.
