Open-access Psychoanalysis is the name of a labour

Abstract

This text is part of an investigation on the meaning of psychoanalysis, or the meanings it may(can) present. It aims to justify and apprehend the originary and fundamental meaning of psychoanalysis. Freudian comprehended psychoanalysis as having a purely therapeutic aim. Before consisting of knowledge, psychoanalysis was understood as a therapeutic act, that is, as labour of treatment of the neurosis. This labour circumscribed by the name - "psychoanalysis" - is discussed, and its method and object are pointed out.
