Open-access Pain and helplessness: sons and parents, 40 years later

Abstract

Listening to reports of the memories of sons of Brazilian political militants affected by the military dictatorship of 1964, dead, disappeared, tortured, clandestine and imprisoned, we argue the emotional and affective aspects of these existences. The sons´ speeches are in the documentary "15 sons", by Marta Nehring and Maria de Oliveira (1996)2.
