Open-access Há espaço para métodos de identificação, análise e solução de problemas(MIASPS) nas organizações, mesmo diante da racionalidade limitada, da intuição e das heurísticas?

Abstract

The use of problem solving and decision making models inside organizations has been criticized as intuition and heuristics are considered to be more effective. Besides, it is widely perceived that bounded rationality prevails. This paper aims at recovering the importance of such models, focusing on Methods for Identifying, Analyze and Solving Problems (MIASP"s). After the introduction, the difference between problem solving and decision making is explored. In the following section, the scientific method and the MIASP´s are reviewed. In the closing section, the pertinent space of the MIAP"s is defined, departing from the limits of rationality and the application of heuristics and intuition in problem solving and decision making.
