PUBLIC POLICIES FOR WOMEN’S SPORTS: A SCOPING REVIEW FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF THE ECOLOGY OF GAMES FRAMEWORK

This study examines public policies for women's sports through the lens of Game Ecology Theory, analyzing their characteristics, challenges, and impacts. A scoping review was conducted following PRISMA-ScR guidelines, with searches in seven databases. From 1,614 identified articles, 13 were included in the analysis. The results showed four main themes, aligned with theory, governance and inclusive leadership; social pressures and cultural norms; financial resources and economic impacts; and international cooperation and the formation of global networks. The study concludes that promoting women’s sports requires integrated strategies, coordination between global and local stakeholders, and continuous monitoring to overcome historical inequalities and ensure sustainable progress.
