Open-access Bureaucratic power and information control

Abstract

The impact on bureaucratic power of the new Information and Communication Technology, which is intensively used by governments, is examined. The transformations resulting from this practice evidenced in the case of the public administration in São Paulo State between 1995 and 2002 are studied.
