She made a short pos-doctoral training at University of Illinois at Chicago, in Molecular Modeling, supervised by Prof A. J. Hopfinger. Since 2001, she has been Full Professor, now retired after around 49 years of teaching at School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, University of São Paulo, where she developed works on Medicinal Chemistry, area of Drugs for Neglected Diseases. She had been Editor-in-Chief of Brazilian Journal of Pharmaceutical Sciences for 25 years. Since 2014, she has been member of INCt-INOFAR, under the coordination of Prof Eliezer J. Barreiro.
