This article aims to present the potentialities and challenges for governance and technology to reveal themselves as central elements of a tourism qualification program for the Bioceanic Corridor. In methodological terms, the research was structured in five stages in which secondary data was collected, as well as roundtable discussions with actors linked to the tourism trade in the context of the Bioceanic Corridor. In short, the research results revealed that third sector organizations play an important strategic role in qualification actions, as they have close connections with actors in the territorial base, especially local communities. In addition, the research also pointed out the importance of undertaking extension actions, with a strong role for educational and research institutions, so that the qualification processes culminate in a scenario that allows for sustainable and lasting development in tourism in the Bioceanic Corridor.
