Agricultura y sistema de vida Terena. Un discurso y su más allá

The paper is a commentary on the relationship between the life system of an indigenous community and some issues related to development. We structured the methodology around a core narrative provided by an indigenous leader. We present his speech and some annotations, in order to render explicit some of the claims and insights. We offer some comments in order to add context and to elaborate on the oral speech's intuitive dimension and ancestral wisdom. The paper aims at exposing this specific indigenous worldview concerning agriculture, education and development, embedded in a pedagogical tension between reporting the speech delivered to a group of students and bringing key highlights as well as literature references.
