The meaning of the organizational decline: the NFU III case

This research aimed to describe the meaning of experiences of former employees of the construction of the Nitrogenated Fertilizer Unit III in Três Lagoas, MS, through the organizational decline phenomenon. The methodology consisted in documentary analysis and interviews. The results organized the central ideas in cognitive maps of each of the six participants that represent the schema of the organizational decline. The conclusions of the study show that the organizational decline is still a phenomenon very little explored, especially having the individual as the unit of analysis.
