Open-access Local development, entrepreneurship and social capital: the case of Terra Roxa city at Paraná state in Brazil

Abstract

This article analyzes the experience of local development in the Terra Roxa city at Paraná State in Brazil. The enterprise that is being carried through is of confection the fashion baby. This collective activity is, strong, associated to the local development, motivated for endogenous factors. In this case, the growth of some factors led to the sprouting and magnifying of an activity completely differentiated to the "territorial vocation", in which these companies of confection are immersed.
