Open-access Media education: the european propositions and the brazilian environment

Abstract

Starting from the study of practice related with media education proposed to Europe, this paper observes the possibility to insert some of this practice in the Brazilian context. We discuss the kit for media education proposed by UNESCO and what is in evidence as a proposal about this theme in France, Spain, Portugal and England. The objective is to show that, besides European suggestions dialogue with some prestigious ideas in Brazil, by dealing with a diverse context, those ideas can reduce some essentials discussions about a media program inside Brazilians schools.
