Open-access Resilience and organizational innovation in public Higher Education institutions

This article analyzes whether the resilience capacity of public Higher Education institutions (HEIs) influences organizational innovation. This study is quantitative in nature, with data collected from 165 HEIs. Data analysis was performed using Structural Equation Modeling-PLS-SEM, which confirmed the hypothesis that Organizational Resilience Capacity positively influences Organizational Innovation in the analyzed public HEIs. The findings reveal the importance of improving organizational resilience in public HEIs, not only because it influences innovation but because it is a powerful means of survival, especially in the context of the major challenges experienced by Brazilian public HEIs.
