This study analyses the rural house of Baixo Minho, Portugal (1750-1810), observing the architectural elements and the internal divisions, examining the different features and uses of space as possible elements of differentiation between private and public. In order to do it, we use as main sources post-mortem inventories (600), last wills and photographs of homes in demolition.
