Aderência do gás natural catarinense ao neourbanismo de Ascher

The article analyzes the role of natural gas as a vector of socio-economic development in the territory of Santa Catarina. The main theoretical reference is the concept of neo-urbanism, developed by François Ascher, and bibliographical and documentary research is used as a method, with an empirical approach to the relationship between natural gas and modern urbanism. The conclusion is that natural gas is intrinsically associated with the various characteristics of neo-urbanism and can be classified, in the context of Santa Catarina, as a phenomenon subordinate to urban dynamics and the prevailing mode of production.
