SUMMARY
Nine methods of storing budwood of the Hevea rubber plant were compared over a period of 28 days. Four buddings at seven day-intervals were made. Freshly cut bud material was used as a control.
From the nine methods tried, dipping the budwood sticks in melted parafin to provide a continous coat of this material gave the best results, with an average of 65 per cent bud-take. Controls gave an average of 95 per cent success.
