Open-access For more democratic management in education: contributions of a distance formation for the professional performance of its graduates

Abstract

This study evaluates the contributions of a distance extension course in the professional performance of the graduates with respect to the implementation actions and / or strengthening of the School Councils. For that, a field survey was carried out with a quantitative and qualitative approach, through the application of a questionnaire, which resulted in the analysis of the responses of 1113 participants. The results showed that 64% of the students put into practice actions planned during the course and those who performed the actions perceived better use of the course and greater learning. From this, the importance of continuing education policies and actions that enhance the relationship between theory and practice to improve the quality of education is reinforced.
