Organic tin compounds with the fentin cation are important fungicides. In Brazil fentin acetate is employed in many crops.
Analytical methods more used for determining fentin acetate have disadvantage of onerouness, complexity and unspecifity.
This paper describes a research in infrared spectroscopy for analyzing fentin acetate. The absorption used was 7 gm / I due to the acetate anion and chloroform employed as solvent.
