OCCURRENCE OF METAMASIUS HEMIPTERUS (LINNAEUS, 1758) AND METAMASIUS ENSIROSTRIS (GERMAR, 1824) (COLEOPTERA, CURCULIONIDAE) IN PALM TREE CROPS (EUTERPE AND BACTRIS) IN BRAZIL

This paper reports, for the first time, the occurrence of Metamasius hemipterus and Metamasius ensirostris, in palm tree crops (Euterpe and Bactris) in Brazil. The morphological characterization and illustrations of the species are presented.
